NFTE regionals semi-finalists announced

The Foróíge NFTE - Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship Regional heats kicked off this month, with so many innovative and resourceful business ideas it was a difficult job for the judges.

Innovation Category 

Eimear Ryan and April Walsh, Transition Year Students from Duiske College became the first semi-finalists for the Innovation Category and the Business Plan category, respectively, in the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship Programme after winning the Leinster South Regional Competition which was held in the Hatch Labs, Gorey, Co. Wexford on Wednesday the 4th of March, 2020. 

Eimear's business 'Choose Your Path' is a business dedicated to allowing avid readers to choose their own path in her first book Bubble. The book allows the reader to control the story by giving the reader different options at the end of each chapter to help them progress. The book is currently available in a limited number of bookstores in Graignamanagh and it surrounding areas. 

Business Category 

'Artistic Adventures' is a company set up by April Walsh, a transition year student whose goal is "to bring back some old fashion fun". April decided to create her own range of colouring books that are suitable for all age ranges but favoured by children and offers a range of products that are originally designed and drawn by her for the consumer to colour. The colouring books are colouring being sold at a number of outlets in Kilkenny county. April is currently in the process of finalising her second colouring book.

The NFTE regional finals continue this week in North Leinster with students presenting at The Mill in Drogheda Co. Louth. Good luck to all!
