Careers

Do you want to enable young people to involve themselves consciously and actively in their own development and in the development of society?

Our vision is an Ireland that believes in every young person. Working with Foróige means you can achieve this and you can empower young people to develop their own abilities and attributes, to think for themselves, to make things happen and to contribute to their community and society.

We are looking for people who are proactive, diligent, flexible, innovative, energetic and who pose excellent interpersonal skills. We also want people who are team players and will work towards achieving Foróige’s future goals through our purpose and philosophy.

At Foróige, we value our staff and see the positive difference that everyone can make.

“If there was ever a moment that I could identify as changing my life it was when I joined Foróige 11 years ago. When you are from a small area in Co. Roscommon you jump at any opportunity to join something new. It gave me a chance to learn new skills and contribute positively to my community. Today I am a Project Worker in the Foróige Crib Youth Project in Sligo. I am almost four years with them now and I love every minute of it. I got so much out of Foróige that when I turned 18 I was reluctant to move on. I went on to do a BA Honours Degree in Applied Social Studies in Sligo IT. When I graduated, I knew I wanted to get back into Foróige. I wanted to give something back and ensure young people get the opportunities I had.”
