Foróige Pride 2026

24th April 2026

Making Pride happen across our communities

Foróige Pride 2026 brings together the work already happening across Foróige to support LGBTQI+ young people.

Every year, Foróige Clubs, projects and teams mark Pride in their own way. This year, we’re creating a shared moment to connect that work, make it more visible, and support even more parts of the organisation to get involved.

Pride in youth work is about visibility, belonging and community. It’s about creating spaces where young people feel seen, supported and able to take part in a way that suits them.

Across Ireland, Foróige Pride will take shape in different ways. Some will run events. Some will take part in local Pride celebrations. Others will focus on conversations, creativity or simply making their space feel more open and inclusive.

We’ll be sharing and highlighting Pride activity from across Foróige throughout the summer, helping to build a national picture of what’s happening and celebrating the work as it unfolds.

Together, these moments show what Pride looks like in Foróige.

How to Get Involved

Plan your Pride activity at a time that works for your club or project

Pride takes place across the summer, so you can link in with local events or choose a date that suits your group

Run your activity in a way that fits your space and your young people

This could be something small within your space, a conversation or session, a creative activity, or taking part in a local Pride event

Share what you do and help make Foróige Pride visible

Post your activity online using @foroige and #ForóigePride

Plan Your Foróige Pride

To help you organise and promote your activity, we’ve created a set of downloadable materials:

These resources are designed to make it easy to take part in Foróige Pride in a way that works for your project.

Need Balloons?

We’ve created Foróige Pride balloons for everyone to decorate their spaces.

Request a set and we’ll arrange to send them out.

They’re a simple way to bring colour and visibility into your space and mark Pride locally.

Share Your Pride

Foróige Pride is about visibility, and part of that is sharing what’s happening across the organisation.

Capture the atmosphere of your activity through photos or short videos and share them on social media. Tag @foroige so your work can be seen and shared nationally.

Before posting, let young people know that photos or videos may be taken so anyone who would prefer not to be included can opt out.

After your activity, consider sharing a short post to reflect on what took place and acknowledge the young people, volunteers and staff involved.

Every post helps show what Pride looks like in Foróige spaces.
