23rd May 2026

Foróige published its Annual Report 2025 today, capturing a year of growth, change and continued investment in young people and communities across Ireland.

The report reflects the scale of that work, but also the everyday moments behind it. Young people building confidence through entrepreneurship, finding belonging in their local club, discovering new opportunities through local projects and services, speaking up about the issues affecting their lives, and shaping the future of the organisation itself.

2025 also marked a significant year of transition for the organisation, with Eric O’Brien taking up the role of CEO following the retirement of Seán Campbell after more than 40 years of service to Foróige. The year also saw the launch of a refreshed visual identity and new website, the opening of new Youth Work hubs in Portlaoise, Longford and Tubbercurry, and continued growth in engagement across social media and digital platforms.

The woven tapestry featured on the cover draws inspiration from Foróige’s visual identity and the many interconnected threads that shape the organisation.

Throughout the report, the voices and experiences of young people remain at the centre. The stories throughout the report reflect the importance of creating spaces where young people feel heard, supported and able to be themselves.

The report also highlights the issues young people themselves identified as most affecting their lives in 2025, including mental health, bullying, discrimination, online safety and the rising cost of living.
