Specialised Services

Foróige specialised services include an array of initiatives for young people who are experiencing particular challenges in life. These projects are developed based on the needs and interests of young people, and new initiatives are being created all the time.

In addition to our Youth Diversion and Drug Education Projects, our targeted services cover areas like:

  • Projects which support young people and their families, mainly in partnership with Tusla, the Child and Family Agency. These Projects engage young people in educational activities and work with families to enable them to achieve positive outcomes for their children.
  • Youth Participation projects that enable young people to have a voice in decisions that impact on their lives.
  • School Completion Projects, operated in partnership with Local Management Committees and aimed at increasing young people’s retention in the formal education system.
  • Health & Wellbeing Projects providing a holistic approach to young people’s health and wellbeing.
  • Projects aimed at enhancing young people’s employability.
  • Projects with a specific programmatic focus e.g. mental health, climate justice etc.
  • Projects focused on integration and engaging young people from minority backgrounds.
