GoVirtual traverses a wide variety of Foróige’s work. It encompasses our Virtual Reality programme which engages young people in youth work in immersive online spaces, alongside broader digital engagement of young people in online clubs and special interest groups, and e-mentoring.
The ways in which we interact and communicate online are being revolutionised and GoVirtual represents Foróige being ahead of the curve in bringing youth work and non-formal education into virtual and immersive spaces. We are showing that we can use these spaces for good by engaging young people in positive ways that support their development. This is radically altering the potential of youth work to reach young people who experience isolation, either physical or nonphysical.
