The Irish Lung Health Alliance (ILHA) has teamed up with Foróige and RTE’s TWO TUBE to launch the ‘Lovin’ our Lungs’ movie competition. The aim of the competition is to promote a better understanding of how important our lungs are for a full, active life and the steps we can take to help keep our lungs healthy and strong. You will be in with a chance to win a ‘breathtaking’ adventure experience for the winning individual and their friends, class or club with Ecoadventure Ireland – a chance to experience fresh air, stunning scenery and a range of thrilling adventure activities at a choice of centres nationwide. Plus the winning entry will be broadcast on RTE’s TWO TUBE.
The competition is based on a number of themes—how our lungs work; looking after our lungs; and fun lung facts. All you need to do is make a 90 second movie celebrating the importance of our lungs and how to look after them based on one or more of these themes – further details available here. You will also find information on how to enter, top tips for making your movie and links to other information as well as top ‘lung fitness tips’ from our sporting heroes: Dr Ronnie Delany, Olympic Gold Medallist; Jonathan Walters, Republic of Ireland; Dean Rock, Dublin Senior GAA Football Team; Tania Rosser and Sharon Lynch, Irish Rugby Union Players.
