Aldi Announces New Partnership Agreement Worth €900,000 With Irish Youth Organisation Foróige

The new contract will see Aldi work closely with Foróige to empower young Irish people

Aldi Ireland renewed its support for Foróige by agreeing a new three-year partnership deal with the youth organisation.

Aldi’s support of Foróige will see it fund a number of exciting activities, including the title sponsorship of the Foróige Youth Citizen Awards which is designed to empower young people across Ireland to use their skills and talents to make a positive contribution to their local community and the Foróige Junior Baking Competition, the finals of which take place annually at the National Ploughing Championships.

Commenting on the renewed partnership agreement, Giles Hurley, Managing Director, Aldi Ireland said, “Making a meaningful impact on young people in the areas in which our stores operate is a central part of our support for local communities. Through our partnership with Foróige, we have seen first-hand how this fantastic organisation helps young people develop as valuable members of society. We are proud to support Foróige and look forward to supporting its wonderful initiatives in the coming years.”

Foróige is Ireland’s leading youth organisation and has been working with young people since 1952. Its work enables young people to involve themselves consciously and actively in their own development, as well as in the development their local community and Irish society.

Foróige operates in 26 counties in Ireland, working with over 50,000 young people aged 10-18 each year through its 600 volunteer-led Clubs, 160 youth projects and programmes such as the Aldi Foróige Youth Citizenship programme, Entrepreneurship and Leadership.
