Foróige is a youth organisation with a difference – where young people are supported to take charge of their capabilities, set their own agendas, and shape their journeys through life. Working with over 50,000 young people each year, we partner with families, schools and communities to create spaces where growth, confidence and connection can flourish.
Foróige GoVirtual is youth work reimagined – immersive, playful, and boundary-breaking. It’s part of Foróige Go, our umbrella for digital skills for what’s now and next. Funded by Rethink Ireland and The Tomar Trust from 2023 – end of 2025, GoVirtual meets young people wherever they are. Using Virtual Reality, it creates spaces where imagination, connection, and personal growth can thrive – even across distance, difference, and time zones.
Rooted in Foróige’s long-standing commitment to digital youth work, GoVirtual opens doors to belonging, creativity, and confidence through immersive experiences designed with young people at the centre. Whether supporting autistic teens to build friendships, empowering isolated young people to make music in virtual worlds, or collaborating across Europe to explore the future of youth work – these case studies show what’s possible when we let young people take the lead in new worlds.
