The Aldi Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards are open to all young people – this includes young people who are involved in Foróige as well as those involved in other youth clubs or groups such as Comhairle na nÓg.
The Awards Showcase is chance for young people throughout the country to gain the recognition for the hard work they have put into their projects and to celebrate the commitment of young people improving their communities.
Rules of Entry to the Awards
The following are eligible to enter the Aldi Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards:
• All volunteer led youth clubs and groups whose target group are young people aged 10 - 18 (a minimum of three members must be involved in the project)
• All Youth Projects1 whose target group are aged 10 - 18 (a minimum of three members must be involved in the project)
• Any individual aged 10 – 18
• Comhairlí na n-Óg
• Any volunteer led groups whose primary focus is either non-formal education and/or community development and/or youth work –and those participating in the programme are aged 10 – 18 (a minimum of three young people must be involved in the project)
Clubs, groups and projects are allowed to submit unlimited group and individual entries to the Aldi Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards. However, each entry must be for a separate project or activity. All entries should have the support of an adult volunteer or youth worker i.e. as a guide or facilitator.
All entries must relate to projects where a substantial amount of the work took place after May 1st, 2017.
