The first round of this year's Longford Youth Factor took place last Saturday, January 14th.
Organised by Attic House Longford, the annual X Factor style competition has both judges and audience members voting to save contestants.
The event has taken place yearly since 2009, and this year’s final will take place on January 28th.

The teenager, who is a member of Truagh Foróige Club in Co. Monaghan, was the winner of the National Junior Baking Competition at the National Ploughing Championships on September 22nd.
Éabha baked spiced fruit centenary muffins which are based on a traditional gur cake recipe which was sold on the streets of Dublin in 1916.
