3 young people in the West Limerick Youth Initiative Project from Newcastle West got involved with local artist Marian Surge, Newcastle West Arts and the Tidy Towns Committee in a Newcastle West art project.

Foróige is greatly saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Pat McLoughlin, former National Chairperson of Foróige. Pat was the current serving Chairperson of Offaly District Council and Club Leader of Durrow Foróige Club in Co. Offaly, with whom he proudly volunteered for 30 years.
This summer the Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship team have been busy running NFTE Biz Camps around the country. The NFTE Biz camps are set up to give young people an opportunity to get involved in Entrepreneurship during a fun and interactive week, which includes hearing from a variety of guest speakers and site visits to companies such as Google and IBM. The young people have been exploring new business opportunities, social enterprise, developing new business ideas, market research, and product and business development.
Congratulations to the young people who have made it through to the final of the Aldi Foróige National Junior Baking Competition. Today (June 17th) Ava Pierce (15) from Askamore Foróige Club in Co. Wexford, and Sinead Dunne (13) from Daredevils Foróige Club in Co. Laois made through to compete in the final of the competition, which will take place at the National Ploughing Championships in Screggan, Tullamore on the 18th-20th of September, 2018.
