Excitement for League of Ireland return in Blarney Street

Foróige’s Blarney Street Youth Project Cork is a targeted service which helps young people to deal with issues associated with marginalisation, social exclusion, early school leaving, youth crime, substance use and family difficulties in a safe friendly environment. The young people who attend the Blarney Street Youth Project are bursting with excitement this week as the League of Ireland Football returns.

Foróige Youth Worker Owen Neenan brings a group of young people, aged 12-16, to all Cork City FC home games.

Foróige NFTE represents Ireland at European Social Innovation and Entrepreneurial Educational Conference

NFTE was invited to represent Ireland at a European Expert Meeting which was hosted in Vienna on Thursday the 21st of February. 

The meeting was for the Education of Young People for Social Innovation, and Entrepreneurial Educational Practices in Evidence, Challenges, Cooperation  Strategies and Future Policies. 

Caroline Cooke representing NFTE in Vienna last week said it was a hugely positive event where the European partners and networks worked together on a broad variety of topics with a main focus on Social Entrepreneurship Education.

Registration for the Aldi Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards will close on March 6th. 

This year the Aldi Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards will take place on Saturday April 13th in the National Indoor Arena, in the National Sports Campus, Blanchardstown.
