Foróige Youth Services in Tallaght and Blanchardstown are coming together to produce a Christmas single to raise funds for youth work in these areas. The single will be called “Calling You Home for Christmas” and has an emigration theme. We’re looking for singers and musicians to participate. The recording will take place at Finnstown House in Lucan, Co. Dublin on Sunday 10th November from 1.30pm. We’re asking young people, volunteers, staff and supporters to come along on the day and lend their voice or talent to the project. There will be auditions to sing a line of the song, just like Band Aid!

If you're a musician, let us know what you play. We are particularly looking for uileann pipes, soprano sax, a tin whistle, bass and a serious drummer/percussionist. Violin, viola, cello and double bass players also asked to get involved.

Timetable for Sunday November 10th

1.30pm: Arrive and registration.

2pm: Welcome.

Everyone will learn the refrain which is in four parts.

We will record the refrain.
