Robin Duke representing Foróige Attic Youth Café wins Rose of Foróige title

Legan Foróige Club held the 3rd annual Rose of Foróige competition Friday 6th December. 18 Roses represented clubs in both Longford and Roscommon. After much deliberation, Robin Duke representing the Attic Youth Café in Longford was crowned the winner. Congratulations to Robin, we hope she thoroighly enjoys her reign as Rose of Foróige! The volunteers at Legan Foróige Club would sincerely like to thank the event sponsors. A big thank you goes to Carrickboy Farms, Clonaboy Mechanical Services (Rathowen), Durkins Jewellers (Longford), Nally’s Spar (Ballymahon), Quinns Checkout (Carrickboy), Rustic Inn (Abbeyshrule), Colm Ward Water (Legan) and Whytes Supermarket (Legan). We would also like to thank DJ Stevie D, Martin Campbell who donated his sound system for the night and also Fr Brady for the use of the hall. The security team Peter Connell, Kenneth Cox, Brian Kelly and Dessie McGonigle ensured everybody had a safe and enjoyable night. Andrea Gallagher was the official photographer and Carmel Nulty and Noeleen Doyle supplied refreshments to all. Our three Judges were Shirley Moloney, Helen O’ Shea and James Gallagher. This was a massive community effort, everyone banded together to make it a reality.
