The recent "Safe and Sounds" Halloween Festival in Monaghan town was a massive success, with over 2,000 people attending the festivities!!
The event, which is a partnership between Foróige, the Gardaí, the Fire Service, the Civil Defence, Monaghan Shopping Centre, and Monaghan County Council, is aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour on Halloween night.
The crowd enjoyed music from four local bands, a kiddies disco, a raffle with a top prize of €3,000, and an impressive fireworks display!
The #safeandsounds iniative attracted alot of local media coverage of the event, and the positive message that it promoted.
