Inishowen's first Youth Road Safety Conference

Foróige's Donegal Garda Youth Diversion Project is hosting Inishowen's first Youth Road Safety Conference next Wednesday, February 28th!

Led by young people from the Foróige Garda Youth Diversion Project, the event will promote responsible road usage, through interactive education. Ahead of the Conference, young people have been conducting focus groups and creating #MyRoadSafetyMessages in their local secondary schools, YouthReach, Clubs, and other Garda Youth Diversion Projects in Donegal.

The #MyRoadSafetyMessages will be displayed at the Conference in the form of posters, video, poems, song, hashtags, and a balloon release.

Attendees will also hear from a number of experts including:
Milaoise Armstrong, Donegal GYDP "Car crash impact on family"
Joseph McGonagle, Rally Driving Champion "Factors adding to car crashes"
Sean Tully, Garda Traffic Corp "Speeding and the pedestrian"
James McKenna, Fire Service "In my experience"
Mick Quinlivan, Pro-Social Ireland "Influences that can affect the driver"

Interactive elements of the Conference will include The RSA Shuttlebus, RSA Roll Over Simulator, Car Virtual Reality Experiences.
