We are thrilled to announce that Foróige Blackwater Valley have been shortlisted for the Community & Civic Pride Award, sponsored by Local Link Waterford, in the 2019 Waterford PPN Community & Voluntary Awards.
Now in its 15th year, the Waterford PPN Community & Voluntary awards were introduced to recognise and celebrate the commitment and vibrancy of the community and voluntary sector in Waterford, and to identify the value of the contribution made by groups and individuals in their communities.
Independent adjudicator’s shortlist groups for the Waterford PPN Community & Voluntary awards based on a variety of different criteria, but in particular, shortlisting is determined by:
Contribution and positive impact of the group to the local/wider community
How representative the group is in the local/wider community
Level of voluntary involvement and participation
Use of inclusive working methods
Future benefit to the local/wider Community
Waterford PPN received over 40 nominations from different groups across Waterford city and county and Foróige Blackwater Valley are extremely grateful to be one of 3 shortlisted groups in their category.
