3,000 People Attend Foróige Amplified Music Festival

Alan July 10, 2023

On Saturday July 8th, Foróige’s Amplified festival blew the socks off Knockmore GAA grounds in Ballina, Co. Mayo, with 3,000 people in attendance from all over Ireland.

This is the second year for Foróige Amplified and the crowd has almost doubled in size from last year.

Foróige Amplified boasted a main stage with DJs Jen Payne and Steven Cooper who pumped out the tunes all night while local man Ois Bosh got the crowd warmed up. The night kicked off with DJ Avocado and SeamusD who set the stage for an epic night.

After the sun set over Lough Conn the bops kept coming and there were dance offs on stage. The festival also featured a silent disco, food stalls, a chill out and games zone as well as epic carnival rides.

There was also a space for Foróige Leaders, other volunteers and parents to chill with a cuppa and catch up.

Foróige Amplified was organised entirely by volunteers and young people and is a huge achievement by everyone involved. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Foróige Leaders and parents for their tireless dedication and hard work that has gone into organising Foróige Amplified, and for facilitating the work of Foróige with young people, helping them have the night of their lives.
