Youth clubs for LGBT teens piloted by one of Ireland's oldest and largest youth organisations

One of Ireland’s oldest and largest youth organisations, Foróige is piloting new Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender youth clubs to fully meet the needs of young people. The organisation has established three such groups in Tallaght, Blanchardstown and Kilkenny. The clubs are open to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender young people, their friends and young people who may be questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Dublin Teen Scoops Top Entrepreneur Award for Customised Glassware Business

A 15 year-old from Coolock in Dublin has secured an all expenses-paid trip to Washington DC after winning a hotly contested competition run by Foróige Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).

Laura Greene, a 15-year-old Transition Year student from Colaiste Dhulaigh in Coolock, set up her business – ‘Laura’s Crystal Ware’ - customising hand-painted glassware. Laura has a love of all things craft related so was delighted to get the opportunity to combine her passion with a business.
