Entrepreneurship Awards
In April 2012, the Youth Entrepreneurship Awards took place at the Helix in Dublin. More than 1,000 young street smart go-getters were honoured for their participation in the programme.
Overall Winner
Puzzle making wizard Conor Murray from Blanchardstown in Dublin was the overall winner of the Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2012, organised and run by Foróige. Conor won the award for his business 'Sha-Donk' which manufactures a fun wooden table top puzzle.







Overview
Foróige's Youth Entrepreneurship Programme, NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) is a world recognised youth entrepreneurship education and development programme that originated in the USA and was brought to Ireland in 2004. The management of NFTE was taken on by Foróige in 2009.
Foróige NFTE is committed to changing the lives of young people by enabling them to develop skills in business and enterprise, and in doing so helping them to unlock their individual talents and potential. Foróige NFTE's in-school and out-of school programmes have both been successful in building self confidence and interpersonal skills in young people as well as increasing school completion and college attendance rates. It operates in 65 locations across Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Donegal, Laois, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Wicklow and Belfast.
