Future Proof Climate Justice

The climate crisis is one of the biggest challenges of our time – and young people are tackling it head on. Future Proof is Foróige’s Climate Justice programme, supporting young people to explore the climate crisis through a lens of fairness, inclusion and action.

It’s not just about rising temperatures – it’s about who is impacted first and hardest, and how we can respond in a way that’s just and equitable. The programme asks big questions, encourages critical thinking, and gives young people the tools to lead real change in their communities and beyond.

Developed with the Foróige ECOllective – a youth-led group passionate about Climate Justice – this programme helps young people see how the crisis affects marginalised communities, both in Ireland and across the world.

By taking part in Future Proof, young people will:

  • Reflect on what Climate Justice really means
  • Understand the link between environmental and social issues
  • Build the skills to advocate, organise and inspire others
  • Design and deliver a Climate Justice Action Project
  • Work towards achieving a Foróige Climate Justice Award

This is about more than sustainability – it’s about leadership, community, and justice.
