Foróige’s Site-Based Mentoring programme is a new initiative designed to provide structured, group-based mentoring in a dedicated youth work setting. This programme brings young people together in a safe, supportive environment where they can connect with mentors, build relationships, and develop new skills.
Site-Based Mentoring takes place in a structured setting, each young person is still matched with a specific mentor for a set number of weeks, usually 12, with goals such as employability skills. It also includes group activities, helping young people build confidence, resilience, and social skills while exploring their interests. With Foróige staff support, the programme is being piloted and expanded to offer a fresh approach to mentoring.
