A group of teenagers from Cork in the Mayfield Youth Initiative have released a rap about their concerns relating to the high rates of teenage bullying, anxiety, depression and suicide in collaboration with Garry McCarthy from GMCBeats Workshops.
The Aldi Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards took place in Citywest Hotel & Conference Centre on Saturday (April 29th, 2017) where over 2300 young people from throughout Ireland showcased their work in the community.
Ballaghaderreen Foróige Club from Roscommon took the top prize at the Awards for their project welcoming Syrian teenagers to their area.

Foróige held its annual National Volunteer Conference in Sligo - the European capital of volunteering for 2017 - this weekend (3-5th March, 2017).
Hundreds of volunteers travelled from all over Ireland to attend the conference involving keynote speaker John Davis, Professor of Childhood Inclusion at University of Edinburgh; to participate in workshops and exchange ideas on best practice in youth work.
