The Youth Co-operative Education Programme

This programme provides opportunities for young people to learn the theory and practice of co-operative enterprise.

ACTIVITY EXAMPLES

  • Set up and run a YCE co-operative.
  • Members contribute share capital, raise loans, elect officers, produce and market goods / services and evaluate the running of the co-operative.
  • Visit a local co-operative and study its operation.
  • Research the possibility of establishing a co-operative in the area.
  • Practice co-operation in club activities.
  • Hold a symposium on co-operatives.
