Foróige Youth Information Centres

Foróige Youth Information Centres provide a free, confidential information service to young people and adults on a wide range of youth related topics.

There are four Foróige Youth Information Centres:

• Tallaght Youth Information Centre
• Blanchardstown Youth Information Centre
• Donegal Youth Information Centre
• Castlebar Youth Information Centre

The Youth Information Centres (YICs) provide a free, confidential information service to young people and adults on a wide range of youth related topics. The YICs act as a first point of contact for young people seeking information on subjects of interest or concern to them. The YICs are a “one-stop-shop” where all information is available under one roof. Trained and friendly staff are always available to give assistance and help. Phone, fax and Internet queries are also handled.

A variety of outreach activities including publications, exhibitions, talks and workshops are undertaken to bring relevant information to young people in their own environment. The YICs offer a host of additional services such as CV typing, referral to other agencies and help with completing applications forms.

Young people, and those interested in youth information, are encouraged to drop in and browse around, look at notice boards, pick up free brochures and check out what’s happening locally. The YICs are open office hours Monday to Friday.
