This year's Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative for Galway and Roscommon was officially launched recently.
35 young people from both counties attended the event in Glenamaddy Community School. The Initiative, which is run by the GAA in conjunction with Foróige, will be facilitated in Galway/Roscommon by Angela Conneely, Edel Coffey, Alan Croghan, Howard Simpson, and James Duignan.
The Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative is named after the late Dermot Earley, one of Ireland’s most inspirational leaders and esteemed GAA inter-county player. The programme is an adaptation of Foróige's existing Leadership for Life programme, customised for the partnership with the GAA.
