Launch of Attic House Longford

The Attic House Longford was launched last Saturday Oct 1st 2016 by County Mayor Mick Cahill and CEO of Foróige Sean Campbell, joined by young people, volunteers, An Garda Síochána and a wide range of community members.

The Attic House is a purpose built youth centre which targets the needs of young people aged 10 – 18 years of age through programs, activities and events that are organised by dedicated and trained volunteers on a daily basis.

The Attic House has a computer suite, meeting rooms, a Youth Café, kitchen, offices and reception area.

The facility is open Mon-Fri for drop-ins and programs, seven Foróige clubs run from Attic House and a new autism spectrum club will run on a Saturday afternoon. It also runs outings and activities for young people on weekends, and social events like discos monthly.

Attic House is based in Longford Town, on the Ballinalee Road; a big blue house.
