The Foróige Ballyshannon/Bundoran Neighbourhood Youth Project hosted a Band Night Fundraiser on Thursday 22nd August in the Kickin' Donkey, Bundoran, Co. Donegal. The fundraiser was supported by three fantastic bands. Stonefree, Bangin' Yolks and Spinach participated on the night to raise funds for the local youth project.

Caroline Cooke, the event organiser said: “The night was a huge success with families, volunteers, community members, singers and musicians all turning out in huge numbers to support young people in the Foróige Neighbourhood Youth Project. Stonefree opened the night with Bangin' Yolks and Spinach following suit. The dance floor was full for the night! Raffle prizes were endless with the amount of local support we received. Gifts included hoodies, meal vouchers, WaterWorld passes, kayak tours, gift vouchers and garden plants. The generosity from local businesses was just fantastic.

A local parent made a presentation to volunteer Killian O’Kelly for all his on-going support. Killian was invited up to the stage to receive his gift and a round of applause filled the room for the popular volunteer and community businessman. The night was filled with fun, laughter and great music in the Kickin Donkey who went out of their way to provide the perfect venue for the Band Night.

We raised just under 2,000 which is very much appreciated by all involved in the Foroige Ballyshannon/ Bundoran Neighbourhood Youth Project which supports local young people and their families. We'd like to say a huge thank you to everybody who supported the event. Your support and on-going dedication to the project is much appreciated and valued."
